Built for podcasting, not retrofitted.
Not a converted meeting room. Not a music studio with a few mics bolted on. Every surface, camera and cable was chosen for one thing: exceptional conversations.

01
Acoustically Engineered
Purpose-built sound treatment for crystal-clear dialogue. Every surface eliminates echo and background noise.
02
Multi-Camera 4K Video
Cinema cameras with professional lighting rigs, for broadcast-quality footage on YouTube and social.
03
Broadcast Microphones
Shure SM7B and condenser options matched to every voice for the best possible sound.
04
Remote Guest Capability
Seamless dial-in for remote guests in broadcast quality. They sound like they are sitting right next to you.
05
On-Site Engineering
An experienced engineer included with every booking. You focus on the conversation; they handle the tech.
In the racks
The kit that makes the room work. This is the working broadcast set, not a hire catalogue. Full serialised inventory is available on request for insurance and technical riders.
Microphones
Shure SM7B dynamics as the desk standard, with matched condensers when a voice needs more air. Isolated paths so four people never fight for the same gain.
Cameras
Multi-camera 4K cinema setup for long-form episodes plus vertical cut-downs. Locked frames so guests forget the lenses are there.
Lighting
Broadcast key, fill and practicals for faces, set and product inserts. Soft enough for long sessions, hard enough for social stills.
Remote guests
Broadcast-quality dial-in and return monitoring so off-site guests sound in-room, not like a Zoom call.
Monitoring & control
On-site engineer desk with talkback, metering and same-day file handoff. You leave with the session; we leave with the backups.
Want the full model and serial list for a rider? Ask when you book and we will send the current stocktake.
The room, practically
Seats up to four around the desk, with space for a producer and guests off-mic. Step-free access via Canalot Studios reception. Ten minutes from Westbourne Park station, parking on site. Tea, coffee, and an engineer who has heard every possible way a session can go wrong, and quietly prevents all of them.
Pricing, plainly
Studio hire from £200 an hour, engineer included. Audio plus 4K video rates available on request. Half-day and full-day rates available. No hidden extras: your files, delivered same day, are part of the price.
This is the room How To Kill An Hour records in. It's available by the hour.
